In today’s busy world especially in the urban areas, the elderly finds themselves either abandoned, all alone in homes or left under the care of unskilled house helps in terms of physical and emotional support which consequently increases their vulnerability to depression and ill health.
Golden Age Elderly Homes Uganda (GAEHU) is a project that took up the challenge to care for the elderly people.

GAEHU Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) are a step up from the home health aide level. They may provide some medical tasks, change dressings, clean catheters, administer some minor treatments, and provide ambulatory assistance. An LNA can also assist in personalized patient care, such as bathroom assistance, dressing, bathing, and feeding
Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. The physiotherapy sessions are offered at our Elderly home day-care center and in comfort of your home on appointment.
For those patients that require little assistance and continuous care, we offer hourly support services. Caregivers will be there to help from as little as 2 hours to 24 hours in the home, hospital, Elderly home and assisted living facilities. Caregivers are also available to travel with you or your loved one as needed (whether for vacations, family visits, or spending time in another place of residence).
Massage is often performed by a Licensed and Insured Massage Therapist. Massage therapy is a natural solution to many ailments associated with the ageing process, and has proven to be an effective complementary therapy to assist and improve the efficacy of conventional treatments
Respite care provides temporary relief for a primary caregiver, enabling you to take a much-needed break from the demands of caregiving a sick, aging, or disabled family member. Respite care can take place in your own home, at day-care centers, or at residential or nursing facilities that offer overnight stays.
Our Certified Nursing Assistants are all trained to provide kind and compassionate care while preserving the dignity of the patient. GAEHU has been working with the local hospices for many years.
A live-in caregiver stays in the home with you or your loved one . We offer complete coverage so the patient is never left alone. They offer companionship and assistance with activities of daily living
